Your last weekend of August (29-30) outlook. This time last year it was the coolest in 16 years nationally with much below normal temperatures, but now it's the warmest in 4 years and 6th warmest in 41 years. Rainfall the least in 7 years nationally, with the wet spots in the Southwest and Western Great Lakes. Really hot in the Central Plains, ground zero for heat this Summer continues.

We had a rare MORNING full double rainbow looking West from wt360 HQ in Bethlehem, PA this morning. Usually harder to see a rainbow in the Western sky (morning) vs Eastern sky (evening). Enjoy the show.

Are you this brave? Our HQ is in the 2nd tallest building here in the Lehigh Valley PA and today is window cleaning day. Always fun to watch these brave guys dangling outside our 8th floor office. I don't know about you, but "I'm out" or should we say IN nice and safe. HA In the Air Force there was a saying, "why jump out of a perfectly good aircraft," so "why jump and dangle off a 12 story building?" ;) The windows are clean, hopefully doesn't scare away our white dove that visits our office from time to time.

Your weekend (15-16 Aug) outlook and a couple Tropical Storm threats! The tropics are coming to life, looks like Hawaii will take a near direct hit from a Tropical Storm this weekend. Also a couple systems in the Atlantic that should bring SOME RAIN to the parched Eastern Caribbean. Windshear and Sahara dust will likely keep these system on the weaker side and most likely no threat to the U.S.

The weekend overall in the U.S. trends cooler and wetter than last year. The West finally cools off and cool in the Northeast too. Cooking in the Central U.S. from Oklahoma to Kentucky. Wet spot upper Midwest.

The annual 10-day Musikfest festival here in Bethlehem PA was supposed to end with a bang (fireworks) last night, but most thought it went out with a whimper in light of the very short 6 minute grand finale. Many commented it was the shortest firework display they'd ever seen. wt360 weather camera South overlooking Bethlehem and Lehigh University captured the display (6 second timelapse of the 6 minute display)...you decide.
