Unique passwords for every account. Do not reuse them.
Random and complex. Some sites allow spaces.
Use a password manager to help keep track of each one.
Log out of all instances and change your password if you suspect you've been hacked.

Learning new terms in the cybersecurity landscape feels like a never-ending lesson.

Today's term: Living off the Land (LotL) - Fileless cyberattacks using legitimate system tools in a malicious way allowing attackers to take up residence, undetected, for long periods of time. This gives the attackers time to learn routines and move laterally within systems; they can then steal sensitive information and open the doors for a larger attack.

Examples:
PowerShell – used to download payloads, execute code in memory, disable defenses, and move laterally.
Administrative utilities and command-line tools – repurposed to perform malicious actions without raising suspicion.
