🚨 COMMUNITY ALERT🚨 — REWARD INCREASED: Fiber Vandalism Threatens Critical Infrastructure

Bloomingdale Communications is urgently requesting the community’s assistance following multiple deliberate acts of vandalism targeting our fiber‑optic network inside roadside pedestals.

These three separate incidents occurred in Northeastern Van Buren County, specifically within Pine Grove and Almena Townships, and have now escalated into a serious threat to public safety and essential services.

đź’° A $10,000 reward is now being offered for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the individual responsible for these crimes.

If you have any information — no matter how small — please contact:

USDA RUS-ReConnect 5 Project Update: Thornapple Township Leaders Visit the Field

On July 8, 2026, we had the pleasure of hosting several officials from Thornapple Township for a firsthand look at our ReConnect 5 construction work. Taking them into the field gave them a clearer understanding of just how much planning, precision, and effort goes into building fiber‑optic infrastructure in rural communities.

Support from local government and community leaders is a huge part of making projects like this possible — from funding and permitting to ensuring a smooth customer experience. Every leader pictured has played a meaningful role in moving ReConnect 5 forward.

We’ve been working with the Barry County Broadband Expansion Committee since 2020, and seeing their excitement as this project comes to life has been incredible. Delivering on our commitments is one of our core values, and ReConnect 5 is another example of how we continue to prove that every day.
