It takes courage to live with scary slow internet

10/27/2026

INDIANA — Mystery Solvers LLC has resolved a decades-long haunting after discovering that two ghosts were waiting for their cable internet to finish uploading them to heaven’s cloud.

The breakthrough came during a midnight séance, when investigators asked what was keeping the couple in the house.

One spirit spelled out “CONNECTION TIMED OUT. PLEASE TRY UPLOADING AGAIN,” then possessed an investigator to avoid having to spell out the rest.

Speaking through their colleague, the couple explained that they’d tried crossing over several times, but each failed upload dumped them back in the living room.

Investigators arranged for fiber internet to be installed and reconvened around the séance table. Both ghosts uploaded successfully, leaving the house quiet for the first time in years.

Watch these with someone who doesn’t mind you grabbing their arm or coming with you to the kitchen afterward. You might need a snack, but you’re not going alone.

Didn't get around to making a costume, and somehow you still get credit for being clever. Not bad for a piece of cardboard you had sitting around.

Somebody built every little house and crooked rooftop in these movies, right down to the stuff most of us probably miss. Makes you appreciate them a little more, knowing how much work went into all that.

Frankenweenie, Co**se Bride, and The Nightmare Before Christmas are our three stop-motion picks for a Halloween movie night at home. 🎃

You finally got everyone to stop talking during the movie. Then the cable internet starts buffering and suddenly the whole room has something to say.

The scariest part is when he freezes halfway through introducing himself. Count Buffer-ula, everybody. Give him a minute. He's using cable.

Two providers can advertise the same speed and make it look completely different on the page. One says “2 Gig,” the other says “2,000 Mbps.” Those extra zeros can make the same speed look like an upgrade.

Bring the real scare to the party: 1% battery and we still gotta figure out how to get home. Somebody’s got a charger, right?

We’re up for a good scare, long as we can laugh about it before bed. 👻 Ghostbusters, Goosebumps, and The Haunted Mansion are tonight’s contenders. We’re streaming over fiber and leaving the ghost hunting to whoever signed up for that. We’ve got popcorn to tend to.
