Now that my winter college session is over I can now start sharing some of the new designs from last year. This first one Is a Typographical Cube.

The project examines typography as shapes in space and investigates how color influencesform, highlighting hierarchy, setting mood, directing the eye, and creating contrast orunity. We concentrated on viewing typography as visual material and color as a structuralelement. It required our compositions to flow smoothly from one side to the next so thatthe cube appears as a continuous 3D typographic painting. Each side of the cube is a dynamic composition while contributing to an overall cohesive design, tthe color cube consisting of sixseparate color studies. During this project I developed a deeper understanding of letter-forms asabstract components.
