The next generation of semiconductor talent spent the summer learning by doing. Across our Minnesota, Florida and Texas sites, our interns took on meaningful projects, developed new skills, shared their work and learned from the people around them. As their internships come to a close, we’re proud to celebrate what they accomplished this summer.

One of the highlights of the summer was seeing our interns share what they learned through poster and presentation sessions. From technical projects to process improvements, they had the opportunity to present their work and answer questions from their colleagues and fellow students.

We’re also celebrating a great accomplishment from our Texas team: all four Texas interns passed their Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification! Congratulations!

And, of course, an internship is about more than the work. Our interns made time to enjoy the summer together, with Minnesota interns heading to a Twins game, Florida interns gathering for hotpot, and Texas interns hitting the mini golf course.

We’re proud of everything this year’s interns accomplished and grateful to the mentors and teams across SkyWater who helped make their experiences possible.

Happy National Intern Day! This summer, we're proud to welcome talented interns to our teams in Minnesota, Florida and Texas. From high school students exploring careers in semiconductor manufacturing to college students applying what they've learned in the classroom, each intern has made meaningful contributions while gaining hands-on experience alongside our teams.

Our interns have supported projects across the business, including:
• Device characterization and testing
• Process engineering and manufacturing improvements
• AI-enabled workflow development
• Materials analysis and metrology
• Equipment calibration and automation
• Quality systems and audit support
• Facilities and wafer handling improvements
• Data analysis and software tools for manufacturing

Thank you to our interns for their energy, curiosity and fresh perspectives. And thank you to the SkyWater mentors who have invested their time to help develop the next generation of talent.

To celebrate America's 250th, we gathered key semiconductor partners in Washington DC to toast the innovators and champions that advance sound policy for national and economic security. Remarks by dedicated public servants and visionary leaders reinforced our promise, including Senator Amy Klobuchar, Congressman Darren Soto, Congressman Brad Finstad, Hon Dr. Kevin Rhodes and Hon Mike Dodd.

To ensure that the next 250 years of American history are defined by SkyWater’s mission of agile development, trusted IP security and quality manufacturing, we will continue to celebrate and collaborate.

Yesterday at the SEMI Strategic Materials Conference, SkyWater SPV of Engineering Percy Gilbert shared a compelling perspective on what's next for computing: materials and manufacturability will define the next era of innovation.

He spoke about why device scaling alone is no longer enough, and why success in the next compute era will depend on turning emerging technologies such as quantum, photonics, and heterogeneous integration into manufacturable solutions.

A few key themes from Percy’s talk:
• Materials innovation is becoming the foundation of progress across semiconductors, AI, and quantum.
• The real bottleneck isn’t invention, it’s manufacturing readiness and supply‑chain resilience.
• Bridging the “Valley of Death” requires integrating R&D and manufacturing from day one.
• The next wave of performance gains will come from advanced integration and heterogeneous architectures.

We’re excited to be at the forefront, doing the hard work inside the fab, co‑developing processes, adapting tools, advancing materials, and helping emerging technologies reach manufacturable reality.
