We are absolutely thrilled to officially announce the Grand Marshal who will be leading our 2026 Das Festival Parade...
Boerne's very own living legend, Miss Constance (Constance Keremes)!
📚✨If you’ve raised a child in the Hill Country over the last two decades, chances are your family's story has been touched by her magic. For 21 incredible years at the Patrick Heath Public Library, Miss Constance served as our dedicated Children's and Youth Services Librarian. From her early days as a youth services assistant to her retirement open house that brought out hundreds of grateful residents, she transformed ordinary mornings into extraordinary adventures filled with puppet shows, reading challenges, and infectious laughter.
She didn't just teach kids how to read, she sparked a lifelong love of literature in thousands of our community’s children. In fact, before her recent retirement, she was famously hosting storytimes for the children of the very youngsters she had entertained back in the early 2000s! Talk about a full-circle community legacy. ❤️
And because true passion never really retires, you can still find her bringing stories to life every single week for the next generation of Hill Country readers over at The Boerne Bookshop! 📖🎈
We cannot think of anyone more deserving to lead our community celebration. Let's line the streets, bring our biggest smiles, and show her the love she has poured into Boerne for over twenty years!
