We are so, so grateful for 2020.

That might sound strange, but we are eternal optimists here at Carew Co. The Great Recession hit just a year after our founding, so we learned early on that there is always a way forward — and that path to brighter things is forged by relationships.

This year has reinforced our respect and admiration for our clients. They’ve brought us new challenges, they’ve pushed the bounds of our creativity, they’ve given us work when they could have tightened their belts. They put their faith in us, and in return we’ve been able to give them some of our most inventive ideas yet.

We are so, so grateful for 2020. That might sound strange, but we are eternal optimists here at Carew Co. The Great Recession hit just a year after our founding, so we learned early on that there is always a way forward — and that path to brighter things is forged by relationships.

We were so humbled to open the November issue of Wine Business Monthly and see this Bergin screen printing ad! It’s proof that good stuff happens when you develop years of creative partnership with clients — in this case, our first official client, Cinder Wines. We agree that this is “No Ordinary Label.” It’s no ordinary wine, either!

Thanks to Melanie and Joe at Cinder for nearly 15 years of trust, and thanks to Associate Creative Director Thomas Walsh for a beautiful design that renders perfectly through Bergin’s work.

Now, please excuse us. We’re going to raise a glass to celebrate.

These days, a lot of us are indulging in guilty pleasures. A quarantini here, a binge-watch there...treating ourselves is saving our sanity. One pleasure I’m not feeling guilty about is celebrating Idaho’s creative community with the 2020 Rockies Awards.

Instead of cancelling this year’s awards show, the Boise Advertising Federation blew everyone’s minds on Saturday with a 3D livestream event. I watched the whole thing in my best joggers (keepin’ it classy) and 3D glasses, my cats by my side. And I have to say, it was fantastic!

This week, Carew Co is going remote to help flatten the curve. It’s a tough call, but we want our employees and clients to be healthy and recover quickly from this pandemic.

Carew Co is still open for business, although all meetings — both in the Treasure Valley and out of town — will either be rescheduled or held via GoToMeeting. We will still be available for your phone calls, your emails, and your projects, and will respond with the same prompt customer service our clients have come to rely on.

The old adage “do what you’ll love, and you’ll never work another day in your life” seems cliche, but it rings true for those of us who are living it. I’ve always been drawn to making my imagination a reality. Whether I’m working with amazing clients or tinkering on weekend side projects, I love the challenge each one presents and the various ways to go about solving them.
