1 in 4 Americans with an aging parent is a caregiver.
Pew Research states: (February 2026 study):
**30%** of employed caregivers say caregiving negatively affected their job or career
**47%** of women (vs. 30% of men) report negative emotional well-being impact
**69%** of Americans support requiring employers to provide paid family leave
**71%** support government funding for short-term respite care
On the employer side: employees who receive caregiving support are **30% more likely to stay.**
This isn't a personal problem. It's a workforce issue. And the data supports that claim.
