TalkWits is a next-generation reserach database, which aims to make research social, customized, and emotionally intelligent. By combining elements of social media with an academic search engine, TalkWits will cut research times in half and provide a forum for academics to voice their opinions. Users will be able to create/search for “sparks” of information (40-500 characters) on any topic. Our 5-

D Search™ tool will then allow users to refine their search by sentiment, demographics, and trends. Our site will benefit students, researchers, and writers who are looking for an experience that is more user-friendly and lively than that found on other academic databases, such as JSTOR, EBSCO, and Google Scholar. In addition, our site will appeal to social media users who are seeking higher-quality, more organized content. We launch in November/December 2015.
