We’re excited to share that our founder, Ethan Pierce, was featured on the Made For Us podcast.

Ethan spoke about his own experience struggling to read as a child, the path that eventually led him to found Adaptive Reader, and the mission that drives our work today: helping make reading more accessible for every learner.

At Adaptive Reader, we believe students deserve access to texts that meet them where they are — across languages, reading levels, and formats — without sacrificing dignity, inclusion, or connection to shared classroom content.

Big news — Adaptive ReaderAdaptive Reader has been named one of the 2025 BostInno Fire Awards honorees by the Boston Business Journalrnal’s BostInno team! 🔥

This recognition celebrates 50 companies shaping Boston’s innovation ecosystem — and it’s especially meaningful because our mission has always been about more than technology.

While many worry about how AI might hurt reading, we’re using it to help every student access books that truly fit their needs — across 192 languages, multiple reading levels, and even with tools like Decode Mode for students with dyslexia.

From our first prototype to now working with teachers in over 250 school districts, this journey has been fueled by incredible educators, supporters, and friends who believed in what we’re building.
