Being a long time Internet marketer, after looking at the Affiliate Suite explainer video I was very impressed at the simplicity of use of the software. Not only does it seem to be really easy to use but it takes a lot of the heavy lifting and confusion out of the affiliate marketing campain setup process. The bonus page setup app is a big game changer for my business. I'm looking forward to hearing more!

DIGITAL MARKETING vs INFORMATION OVERLOAD

Internet marketing or Digital marketing whatever you choose to call it changes rapidly. Every day there's something new on the scene. The question is, how do you keep up without getting a major case of information overload?

It's true too much information can be overwhelming, causing what used to be something we enjoyed doing into something we don't want to do anymore. If that happens to us as online marketers that could prove fatal to our business efforts.

Information overload can also cause headaches, mental confusion, eye strain, stress, and moodiness. It can even lead to weight gain, high blood pressure, cardiovascular issues and more.
None of what we want any part of.

Let me give you a few tips on what you can do to prevent being overwhelmed by too much information.

When it comes to overcoming information overload you can do your part by trying to limit the time spent online randomly researching one topic after the other.

Try to avoid multitasking such as working on your computer, checking email, scanning social media and listing to the news all at the same time. Instead, try to focus on completing one task at a time or at least stick to one topic rather than multiple ones.

One more tip is to limit the time spent on social media, you may not know it but spending too much time on social media sites will load your mind with tons of information you don't need, won't use and will weigh you down mentally.

Instead, create a plan that gives you certain times and days that you spend on social media. This will help keep you from getting sucked into the abyss. I know this can be difficult at first but if you teach yourself to stick to a schedule, you’ll start to notice that you’ll feel less overwhelmed and become much more productive on and off social media.

Automate certain social media tasks you are using for your business. Tools like Hootsuite and Sproutsocial.com you can automate post scheduling, so you can get meaningful content out consistently without having to create it every single day.

Instead,
you can spend an hour creating a weeks’ worth of posts and set them to go out once a day. This way it looks like always there for your followers, even while you’re busy doing other things.

Perfection and Your Internet Marketing Business

Today I want to talk a little bit about chasing perfection in your internet marketing business. What made me think about it was a recent conversation I had with my son. You see my son is a brilliant musician and songwriter. I asked him what he had been working on lately and he told me a little about the new material as well as the process he goes through to create his music ready for others to hear.

What really stood out to me was him explaining to me that because of his being such a perfectionist one of the hardest things he has to do is to let his music go when it's ready. He told me that in his mind he always able to find something in his music that can be done differently to make it sound better. He also said that if he gave in to the perfectionist in him not one note of his music would ever be heard by ears other than his own.

My son had to actually learn the last step of creating, taking the action of letting his music go to serve its purpose, to be enjoyed by others.

That conversation with my son made me think about myself in my online business, how just like my perfectionist son I also had to overcome the obstacle of allowing the positivity of my perfectionism to become a negative force. You see, instead of me letting perfection lead me to the positive route to excellence, I instead was letting it drag me down the negative road of procrastination.

This was a very big deal for me, getting over the feeling of fear that my business, content, products, and services were never good as they could be, never quite ready to help the potential customer in my niche market.

I definitely had to work on developing the right mindset, the confidence in my online business and products. I had to learn to take that inevitable risk that comes with launching a new product or service.

Through the process I also learned a very valuable lesson, that is _“You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time”_. ―* John Lydgate*

It's is the taking to heart the words of that famous quote that helps me understand that you can never be perfect for everyone, so to strive for excellence instead.

That's my inspiration for you all today. While perfection in your online business can be a powerful asset if used with the right understanding, but if you're caught up in having to have everything perfect you'll find out it will never, ever, be ready to help the folk it was created to help in the first place. After all, how can your business or product help anyone if they never get the chance to know about it, see it, use it, or touch it because you can never let it go?

With that in mind, remember that it's okay to strive for perfection in your internet marketing once you realize it's something you may never attain, but worthwhile trying because of the excellence you will attain in benefits your business, products, and services will bring to those who use them.

The Good news is the misuse of perfection can be overcome!

So don't let perfection lead you to procrastination or inaction in getting your business out to the people. Let relative perfection lead you to excellence in online business, products, and services that you can take great pride in as they benefit those they were created to help.
