All of the changes around us - the pandemic, supply chain disruptions, climate impacts - have caused folks to rethink what they want from their careers. So many companies in the supply chain are feeling the effects of labor shortages.
I sat down with Ryan Howard and Chad Howard of RMH Systems, Inc. about how they’ve been affected and what they are doing to hire, develop, and retain staff. (Ryan is the President and Chad is the General Manager.)
RMH Systems is a material handling company primarily focused on industrial automation. Their products span from material handling to packaging equipment and robotics. Since they are not immune to the struggles going on with the labor force, Ryan and Chad shared two key strategies to hire the best talent:
- First, they refined and invested in their interview processes to bring on staff who will embrace the company culture and stay.
- Second, they are constantly evolving to be sure they've got a work environment that people enjoy with a benefits package that supports their teams.
