You've probably already been introduced to Valbo, the Valamis arctic fox. 👋

You may have seen it in one of our posts or received an email featuring the familiar face.
Or maybe you've even taken home the cuddly Valbo toy from our booth at an event.

Valbo is a favorite companion for all of us at Valamis, and now that we've given it a fresh new look for 2026, it's time to share the full story behind our beloved fox! 💜

An idea that started in Finland in 2017 — long before AI companions were standard in workplace software — has grown into something we're really proud of. And choosing the arctic fox wasn't random. It was one of the first mammals to reach Finland after the last Ice Age. An animal that adapts, persists, and keeps coming back.

From training rooms to a global learning movement ⚙️

We’re really pleased to share a new customer story with VCST & BMT Group, and to highlight the work of Sam Nicolas Mantoufe and team!

Across five countries, VCST set out to make learning accessible to everyone, not just small groups attending in-person training.
