There exists a terrible yet fascinating shapeshifter that roams our world — known for deeds both benevolent and cruel.
It takes no lasting form: creature, beast, spirit, even something resembling a tree. Yet each account shares one constant — the presence of a black sword.
II. The Weapon’s Curse
Those fortunate enough to cross steel and survive tell of a strange blight that follows.
Their own weapons, once bright, soon rust and darken — a creeping corruption that spreads as if the black blade had infected the metal itself.
Many have buried such swords, fearing the sickness might not stop at steel.
III. The Pursuit
Scholars and hunters alike have chased the legend for centuries, hoping to glimpse the Sentinel and its shifting form.
None have captured it, and those who tried rarely returned unchanged.
Some claim the creature itself is not evil, only bound — cursed to balance creation with ruin.
IV. The Forging
