Hey everybody, if you're thinking about using the new Facebook thing where it ages you 50 years, as your friendly IT consulting expert I would strongly advise you not to do so.

This is collecting biometric data. Right now you can use that biometric data to unlock your phone, with your face.

How long in the future will it be then you use that to open a bank account or transfer money?

This new Facebook fun thing is owned by Russia and collect that data.

Leaving your devices unattended and unlocked is asking for trouble. If you need to leave your computer, phone, or tablet for any length of time, lock it up so no one can use it while you’re gone. If you keep sensitive information on a flash drive or external hard drive, make sure to lock it up as well.

Security settings are provided on a majority of devices that are out today. Use these settings. Whether it is a pin number, fingerprint ID, or facial recognition- use them.

In the event that any of your devices have been forgotten or misplaced, this will serve as the first line of defense against a security breach.
