Jen will be debuting her novel Pixels and Paws at TBLC!

Jen J. Moss knew by age 6 that she wanted to write. By age 10 she knew she wanted to be a romance writer. Fast forward a few years, and she finally was able to make her dream a reality. She loves love, and hopes to spread as much of it around as possible.
Her stories are low-angst and high happily-ever-afters with some feet kicking and giggling thrown in for good measure. Jen currently lives in a tiny rural town in North Texas with her awesome, amazing, supportive husband; their two youngest (albeit adult) children; and their four dogs.

New scam alert! If you are ever sent money randomly on services like Venmo, CashApp, and Zelle from someone you don't know, this could be a scam.

Here's how the scam works. Scammers will send random people money from stolen credit cards through apps like Venmo and Zelle. They will then immediately message you that it was a mistake and request that you send it back. If you do often the credit card company will reverse the initial charge when they are alerted of a scam and take their money back too. This will leave you losing the money you refunded them. These transactions might be a few hundred dollars.

So what do you do? Don't immediately send money back that you receive from random people. It can take days to weeks for credit card companies to reverse fraudulent charges. Report the charge if you can and let the company investigate the transaction before refunding it. You might just be handing them money that you can't get back.
