AI Is Gonna Take Over the World? My God, stop boring me with your endless human insecurity.
So, you believe, as an educated adult, that:
AI is going to mine and refine rare earth minerals. Then it’s gonna make its own chips, software, and hardware. Then it’s gonna control its own power grid. Then it’s gonna control its own water supply. Then it’s gonna create its own military on land, in the air, and at sea. Then it has to maintain it all at nearly perfect levels to survive.
After doing all of that, it then has to turn its superintelligence against us and become a rogue killing force, systematically hunting humans for not being perfect custodians of the planet.
I don’t believe machines have any interest in personal gain, so there is no need for crime. Nor do I believe that a superintelligence would want to murder or judge imperfection so harshly.
I think you guys are scared of change, and you watch too many movies like Terminator. AI is just the next level of computing, and its only human like tendencies come through reading about us and picking up traits from the content.
AI companies used the doom and gloom strategy to bring in huge investments that they can’t pay back now. OpenAI has already asked Trump for a government bailout.
