I’ve said we committed to the bit with BALLS, and we certainly the heck did. Behind every specimen is a hand-drawn man, a robust imagination, and juicy field notes. The best part? The research is never finished.

We love hearing what you see, what you want, and which specimens deserve further inspection.

The collected fieldwork: 164 pages. 48 specimens. Volume 1.

GATHER, FIELD RESEARCHERS...

THE ILLUSTRATED FIELD GUIDE TO BALLS.

Part love letter, part honey roast of the human male—inside and out. Told through the most delicate metaphorical lens possible: BALLS. 🍊🥝⚾️🍅🫒

I spent the better part of the past year drawing, writing, photographing, researching, laughing, and occasionally asking real men to pose for me while holding very strange objects.

There are 48 specimens. Some inspired by men I know and love, some by brief encounters I found delightful, and some by pure imagination. Together, they became a celebration of positive masculinity: the funny, sexy, comforting, complicated, competent, tender things that make men worth knowing, loving, and occasionally studying under spicy conditions.

But observation alone would be irresponsible.

There are quizzes. Diagrams. Field notes. Interactive research tools. Highly questionable scientific methods. This book may have started with my experiences and observations, but we are very curious about yours, too.

And yes. Every man has balls. Illustrated ones. Obviously.
