Safety is better when we learn together. Thanks to the Hinckley-area first responders who spent some time with ECE last week!⚡

We hosted a training session last night with surrounding fire departments. East Central Electric provided dinner for everyone, presented a classroom session on the dangers of power lines that we are exposed to during house fires, traffic accidents, downed lines from storms and so forth. They then presented a live demonstration with their mobile safety trailer.

All rise for an unexpected career change. What changed Jodi’s verdict 29 years ago?

This month, Jodi Zak is celebrating 29 years at ECE, which is especially impressive considering a career at an electric cooperative wasn’t exactly part of her original plan. In fact, she was supposed to work at a law firm.

The quiet halls at Nyquist Elementary are almost ready to fill up again! Before students return, ECE stopped by Isle Public Schools with Teacher Totes overflowing with supplies. Thanks to a matching grant from CoBank, we’re helping local teachers start the year with a few more classroom essentials. Make it a great year, Raiders!

The state fair starts today, and after 90 years, we decided to try our hand at one of its finest traditions: seed art. Turns out, some traditions are best admired from a distance.

We rolled into Rice Elementary with a little extra support for the school year ahead! Through our Teacher Totes initiative, educators received containers filled with useful classroom supplies, made possible in part by a matching grant from CoBank. Teachers spend plenty of their own money to ensure students have what they need. Teacher Totes are one small way ECE can help lighten that load. This morning, we delivered classroom supplies to the folks at Four Corners Elementary, with help from a matching grant from CoBank. Fly high this year, Falcons!

We stopped by Pine City Public Schools, ISD #578 this morning with Teacher Totes filled with supplies for local educators. A matching grant from CoBank helped us pack each container with items teachers can put to good use. We're wishing a great year for our Dragon friends! 🐉

Sunrise River Elementary got a back-to-school boost from ECE this morning. With support from a matching grant through CoBank, teachers received containers packed with classroom supplies as part of our Teacher Totes initiative.
