In 2021, footage from cameras we installed helped a Tampa Bay police department identify a suspect in a dealership test-drive theft.

That case wasn't unusual for us. (We've reviewed footage in hundreds of cases like it.)

The FBI warns that AI-generated voices make impersonation schemes more believable. And Microsoft documented an executive-impersonation invoice campaign in September that showed signs of generative AI.

🌧️ Rainy season isn't just about power surges. Flooding can take out a server closet, a ground-floor office, or the whole building.

Follow the 3-2-1 rule:
3 copies of your data
2 different types of storage
1 copy off-site or in the cloud

If your only backup is on a drive in the same room as your computers, a flood or fire takes both. Cloud backup means your team can keep working from anywhere, even when the office can't open.

Storm season checklist for your office:
✅ Use surge protectors on every workstation, and a UPS on servers and network gear
✅ Remember that a surge protector can't stop a direct hit, so unplug critical equipment during severe storms
✅ Protect phone and internet lines too, since lightning travels through them
✅ Keep a backup in a different location from your main system
✅ Test your restore, because a backup you've never tested is a guess

A backup sitting next to your server is only as safe as the server.
