When setting displays for a long rectangular room it was is always best to set the displays on the long wall to reduce the distance from each participant to the screen.
This client took my advice and used inexpensive 8’ tripod screens with dress kits to accomplish the largest image with two screens to cover the training for this whole audience.
Another, example of good planning is the addition of power strips running to each participants table for laptops and
phones. This power grid covers all participants in this room and were set up on multiple circuits to avoid the possibility of overloading and tripping a breaker. In this example 18 participants were connected to each circuit. In a case where the power distribution was not planned one client of mine had participants plugging in power wherever they could find it. This lead to the these participants sitting in the dark when they knocked out multiple circuits at once. Clearly, planning the power grid is cheap insurance to guarantee a successful meeting. In addition clear, organized cable runs neatly taped down makes for a safe and clean looking room setup. The strips I use include USB a & c options as well for those BYOD attendees wanting to charge their devices.
