I want to take a minute to showcase 2 of our amazing employees - and while I consider all the guys that work with me my brothers - Bobby and Jordan are just that, brothers, that if you didn’t know the age difference, you would think they were identical twins.

Bobby is being modest here. He has been with us way longer than 3 years. Bobby has been with me for close to 2 decades. Better Days hasn’t always been my full time job. For 20 years, I was a school IT director, and ran Better Days on the side. Bobby interned with me at one of my schools and hasn’t left my side ever since! When we had enough steady work, I made sure he knew he had a full time spot whenever he was ready. I have watched Bobby grow from a young man to a loving husband and father. It seems like just yesterday I watched him crimp his first RJ45!

I’d have to be crazy to not hire his brother Jordan. It’s like I have a clone of Bobby. Jordan has an appetite for knowledge, and the drive of his bloodline that makes him unstoppable.

I count my blessings every day with the team we have. When you hire us, you are hiring my family. You become part of our family. A family that always has your back.

Verkada sent over a trial of their new AF64 facial recognition access control opener. It’s cool technology, but if we’re being honest with each other, they missed a huge opportunity to combine the opener with their intercom line. I actually think it was advertised that way and then they pulled it back? Anyway, I’m gonna have to give it a 6/10. It was cool, but not wicked cool!

It does have a keypad option and card reader as well, and you can use your face and either a card or PIN for 2 factor to get into the building, so that’s neat. I think the only place this makes sense is if you were going to put a keypad and camera in anyway- then you are getting a deal, but man, so close to being perfect…..just add the intercom feature!

But overall, it works, and this video shows it works on ugly people as well as supermodels! 😂😂😂

We are so excited to add as our newest school client this summer. When Quest started researching who they were looking for to meet their technology needs, Better Days Technology “kept coming up as the company to work with.”

While summer is a time to relax, it is by far our busiest season. Our school clients take this time to refresh faculty laptops, prepare new devices for students, make network upgrades, and install new cameras. Quest will be one of the many schools that will be keeping us busy this summer.

This week I had the absolute honor of a lifetime when I was asked to be the commencement speaker for one of our client schools. I started my career at so to have an opportunity to work with them 25 years later is an amazing connection that I do not take for granted. When we sit down with a perspective new client, I always say “our goal is to be so connected to you, that you invite us to your Christmas party!” But I’d say being asked to be a commencement speaker surpasses a connection I could even dream of. Thank you so much for this tremendous opportunity.

My buddy sent me a link for a camera cleaning pole that I thought was real cool….until I saw the price! $200 for a pole with microfiber on the top!?!? Nah, son- hold my … bottle of water…. I can knock this out for thirty bucks! A pool pole, a duster, and some bolts and we are cleaning 2 story cameras safely from the ground without a ladder! So, then I made a bunch of them for our customers!
