Top PlayStation 5 games
1.Resident Evil Village
Yes, the last Resident Evil can be played on PC and Xbox, but I passed it on PS5, so I can speak only for this version, which caused exclusively positive emotions. I already mentioned in my review of this game that we are facing one of the best (if not the best) Resident Evil in the history of the series. Not only does this project skillfully continue Ethan Winters' story, but it also gives a different perspective on the events of Resident Evil 7 and intrigues at the very end, making a clear hint of a sequel. Moreover, the game perfectly complements the RE lore, telling a lot of interesting things about the universe. For fans of the series, Part 8 is a must-read. Yes, there's no arguing that the entire Village works on ideas from past games. However, this in no way detracts from the merits of The Village. A creepy and wildly atmospheric horror is perfectly combined with action, several well-developed zones with new enemies and puzzles won't let you get bored, Lady Dimitrescu makes you run madly around the incredibly beautiful castle, and Benevinto's Dollhouse... you'll have nightmares about it for a long time. Village is one of the best games you can play on PS5 right now, and one of the best games of all time in 2021. I wouldn't recommend skipping it!
2. God of War : Ragnarok
The freezing winds of Fimbulwinter have come to Midgard, making survival for Kratos, Atreus, and Mimir in the Norse wilds even more challenging than before. Kratos, still bearing the knowledge of his past mistakes, wants to spare Atreus the bloody lessons he learned from his conflict with gods. He wants to keep his son safe, above all, and their confrontation with Baldur has vindicated the belief that only tragedy will come from further entanglements with the Aesir. Together, Kratos and Atreus will have to make a choice about which path they will take. Whatever they choose will define the fate of all those living in the Nine Realms as Ragnarok approaches. Whatever your choice of combat strategy, the enemies that await in God of War Ragnarök will be ready. The realms have grown harsher, and a whole host of new creatures from across Norse mythology will test your skills. God of War Ragnarök will take you to the previously unreachable Vanaheim, Svartalfheim, and Asgard - as well as to new areas from locations featured in the last game. Exploring the realms will take you everywhere from verdant, otherworldly jungles to intricate subterranean mining networks. This next installment in the series will bring you a more diverse, beautiful, and mysterious variety of locations than in any other God of War game.
3. The Last of Us Part 2
One of the most outstanding video games of recent years has been updated and optimized for PS5. However, neither improved graphics, nor full-fledged DualSense support, which would be very helpful here, were brought. All that the update brought was support for stable 60 frames per second and faster loading. But even this was enough for me to pass the game for the third time. The last time this happened to me was back in 2004, when Resident Evil 4 was released and I replayed it to the max. The Last of Us Part 2 won over 300 Game of the Year awards, and for good reason. Few people make titles of this level and level of development, so I implore you, buy at a discount, rent or borrow from a friend, but be sure to check this game out.
4.Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut
With the release of Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut the already good open-world game got even better. The developers worked on the picture to make it even better. Also they added fast loading, native DualSense support, 3D sound, stable 60fps, improved the gameplay and added a new storyline, the events of which take place on the new island called Iki. All this beauty can only be overshadowed by the need to pay to upgrade the game to the extended version on PS5. If I bought the game on PS4, why not give me the opportunity to upgrade at least the graphics for free? Alas, we have what we have. It's not very nice, I agree. Nevertheless, for people who have never played Ghost of Tsushima, the director's version is a great opportunity to join one of the best games of 2020.
5.Death Stranding Director's Cut
And another director's cut version of a great game has been updated for the PS5. As with Ghost of Tsushima: Director's Cut, the extended version of Hideo Kojima's project is unlikely to make the seasoned player return to it. However, newcomers will have a huge and strange (in a good way) adventure. The Death Stranding Director's Cut adds improvements for the PS5, all previously released additional content (such as delivery missions based on Valve and Cyberpunk 2077 games), and new quests, mini-games, and builds designed to make it easier to get through. The PS5 version gives you near 4K resolution at 60 fps. Also there is support for HDR. Ultra-precise DualSense vibe is included. In general, if you've never seen Death Stranding before, and you have a PS5, it's worth buying the director's version.
