We're hiring Robot Teleoperators — Bay Area, multiple full-time roles.

No robotics experience? No problem. We train you from scratch.

At FS Studio, you'll operate advanced robots using VR headsets, haptic gloves, and precision control systems — collecting the high-quality data that trains next-generation AI. You'll work in 2-person teams on real-time shifts, rotating between Operator and Observer roles.

Think precision gaming meets hands-on tech operations. Except the machines are real, and the work matters.

What we're looking for: detail-oriented, punctual, reliable team players with a high school diploma and U.S. work authorization. Interest in tech or gaming is a plus, not a requirement.

Robots don’t learn to work by working. They learn by failing thousands of times where failure is free.

That’s the case for simulation-first training, and it’s the work we do every day at FS Studio.

Here’s the problem. Collecting robot training data in the real world is slow, expensive, and sometimes physically impossible. A robot that crashes during a live test costs time, hardware, and trust.

Simulation changes the math. In a simulated environment, the same robot can run thousands of training scenarios overnight, navigating stairs, handling edge cases, and recovering from failures. None of it requires a physical facility or a single piece of broken equipment.

Layer synthetic data on top and the model sees more rare conditions, unusual object orientations, and crowded environments than any real-world trial could ever produce. The result is a robot you can actually trust in the field, because it already succeeded thousands of times before it ever showed up.

Simulation-first isn’t a shortcut. It’s the only way to train at the scale modern robotics demands.

Quick question for anyone in simulation or robotics.

When someone says their assets are sim-ready, what do they actually mean?

We have been asking this a lot lately and getting very different answers.

Most common answer: the 3D mesh loads in Isaac Sim.
Better answer: physics properties are defined.
What it should mean: validated against real-world behavior under actual deployment conditions.

The gap between the first answer and the third one is where most sim-to-real failures live.

Something we keep seeing in production robotics.

A robot hits 95% grasp success in the lab. Then 40% in the field. Same hardware. Same policy.

The problem is not the gripper. The problem is that the simulation trained it on a world that does not match the real one. Material properties, contact dynamics, variable lighting, sensor quirks, the details that look minor until they compound.
