Authorized doesn’t always mean safe.

Employees, contractors, service accounts, and AI agents can all operate with legitimate access — and still introduce insider risk that traditional controls may miss.

The challenge is spotting when normal-looking activity becomes risky over time.

Our new e-Book, Building a Behavior-Driven Insider Threat Program: A 10-Step Playbook, gives security teams a structured framework for building an insider threat program around behavior, context, and identity.

Learn how to strengthen governance, improve identity-centric visibility, apply behavioral analytics and risk scoring, and extend coverage across human and non-human identities.

Exabeam has been named a Google Unified Security Recommended partner.

In his latest Enterprise Times article, Steve Brooks takes a detailed look at how the Exabeam and Google Cloud relationship has evolved — and what the deeper integration means for customers working to detect and investigate risk across both human users and AI agents.

Brooks also digs into the technical foundation behind the partnership, including how New-Scale Analytics extends Google Security Operations with Behavior Intelligence to help teams identify abnormal activity, reduce investigation complexity, and accelerate threat detection, investigation, and response.

The article provides a thorough look at how the partnership is taking shape and where it can deliver value for security teams.

Google named Exabeam a Google Unified Security Recommended partner. Google launched this program in 2025 with three inaugural members:

Insider risk is no longer limited to employees and compromised credentials.

Rogue AI agents can operate inside trusted environments at machine speed, often using legitimate access that makes risky activity harder to spot.

That changes what security teams need to watch for. The challenge is not just who has access, but how both humans and AI agents behave once they have it.

Google Cloud has named Exabeam a Google Unified Security Recommended partner, recognizing the strength of the integration between New-Scale Analytics and Google Security Operations.

This is an important milestone because customers should not have to start over to strengthen security operations.

Google Security Operations gives security teams a cloud-scale foundation for their telemetry. New-Scale Analytics adds advanced behavioral analytics to help identify patterns of risk across human users and AI agents — including activity that can look legitimate when viewed one event at a time.

Together, that means deeper behavioral context within the environments customers already use, with less operational complexity.

New-Scale Analytics is also available through Google Cloud Marketplace.

For customers and partners alike, the opportunity is to build on existing investments, connect more of the security ecosystem, and help defenders focus on the behaviors that represent real risk.

A major financial institution like Mizuho Financial Group can't just react to threats. They have to proactively hunt them.

With a requirement to manage risk across multiple major subsidiaries and protect confidential information from landing in the wrong hands, the Mizuho team knew they needed a security operations platform with behavior intelligence that could move at machine speed. That's how they landed on Exabeam.

With Exabeam deployed, they were able to:
✅ Unify security level and governance across the entire group
✅ Automate the analysis of massive log volumes in real time
✅ Visualize and prioritize high-risk users and systems on a single dashboard
✅ Significantly reduce manual monitoring workloads and incident response times

Now, Mizuho can remain confidently secure, even in the face of an increasingly remote workforce and a quickly evolving threat landscape.

AI agents don't need to break in. They already have permission.

They log in with trusted credentials, access approved systems, call APIs, and execute workflows exactly as they're designed to. That's what makes them difficult to detect.

The risk isn't a single action. It's how behavior changes over time.

Traditional detection looks for isolated events. Behavior-based detection looks for sequences, context, and drift—revealing when an AI agent starts operating outside its normal pattern, even if every action appears legitimate.

As AI agents become part of the workforce, security teams need to ask a different question:
Does this behavior still match what's expected?

Learn how behavior sequences help uncover insider risk earlier—and why they're becoming essential for securing the agentic enterprise.

AI agents are rapidly becoming part of the financial services workforce. That means insider risk is no longer just a human problem.

In a new InformationWeek feature, Exabeam Field CISO Findlay Whitelaw shares her perspective on how AI agents are reshaping trusted access — and why financial institutions need greater visibility into how both human and non-human identities behave across sensitive systems and workflows.

As AI adoption accelerates, security teams need to move beyond asking whether access is authorized. They also need to understand whether that activity is normal, appropriate, and secure.

AI agents transform financial operations while creating security blind spots. The sector needs visibility and control over trusted activity, writes a CISO.

AI security is moving beyond feature claims.

The bigger test is whether the technology works in the real world — across existing environments, partner ecosystems, and day-to-day security operations.

That’s why the latest CRN Annual Report Card caught our attention.
Exabeam earned a 90.6 overall score in AI Security, ranked first across all four subcategories, and led all 21 evaluation criteria.

Craig Patterson shares what those results say about where AI security is heading — and why ex*****on will matter as much as innovation.
