Pretty Nice Creations Graphic Designer + crafts, recipes, and photography I'm a graphic designer who has been working in my field since 2003. I love to craft.

I love helping people communicate with their intended audience through brochures, business cards, logos and fliers. I have worked at a TV station doing graphics for live news shows, at a newspaper laying out pages and designing ads - as well as managing a team of designers, and in a feed store where I gained lots of marketing experience. I have been making baby blankets for Project Linus since 2000. I love doing custom work - be it crochet, weaving, or any other design idea.

I really enjoyed making this raffia Japanese knot bag. It was quick, the raffia was easy to use and it came together nicely. I used "sea life" and "spider" color ways from Universal Yarn. The pattern is from 2016 and I bought the kit from Longmont Yarn Shoppe for $45.

Last night I was invited to hang out with a friend, but I felt like a lump of laziness so I cancelled. But then I made myself do something with my time. The weather was nice so I got the sawhorses and cleaned up my fireplace mantle. Dad and I had taken it off the brick fireplace earlier in the week and I decided that I really needed to embrace the sudden cooldown. So 5 sides are sanded once and later I'll bring a brick to the store to purchase a matching stain. Proud of myself for making any amount of progress.
