Wonderful sounding Pioneer SX-737! Conservatively rated at 35w RMS per channel, this has plenty of power for most modest livingroom setups. It would directly compete with a Marantz 2230. The 636/737 have always been my favorite pioneer receivers. They have the looks, sound, and under-rated power. This one has had the following restoration performed:

-Electorlytic capacitors replaced using Nichicon PW, KL, PJ, as well as WIMA Film caps in the signal path where possible.
-Power supply board rebuilt, flaky 2sd313 pass transistors replaced with ksd880s and 2sc945's replaced with ksc2383's (better heat dissipation. )
-Phono board rebuilt with gain matched hand selected low noise KSC1845's and wima films.
-Tone amp rebuilt with WIMA wilms, Nichicon pw's, and gain matched KSA992'S and 1845's.
-Amplifier board rebuilt with hand selected within 2% KSA992s for the input pairs, and the failure prone 2sc1351's replaced with KSC2503's.
-both bias and offset adjustment potentiometers replaced with Bourns multi-turn pots for precision adjustme ts.
-Bias set to 20mv/channel and exactly 0.00vdc offset.
-Main filter capacitors upgdaded from 50v 6800uf per rail to high quality low esr high ripple rated Kemet 10,000uf 63v types.
-FM tuner board recapped and FM tuner aligned.
-boards flux cleaned after each one was rebuilt.
-Cool blue LEDs installed in dial and meters
-All pots and switches cleaned with deoxit.
-Face, cabinet, and rear panel cleaned and detailed

Cosmetically this is a solid 8.5-9 out of 10, with a flaw on the lower left of the face plate as shown in the last photo.

This receiver sounds wonderful, punchy, warm, clean, and has enough power to drive me out of the room when paired with my Altec VOTTs.

Bargain time! Looking for a great pair of speakers for your garage or man cave? These infinity Qa's sound fantastic! 10" sealed 2 way with rubber surrounds and Emit ribbon tweeters.

The good: cosmetically very presentable, everything works and sounds great.
The bad: cabinets have some light swelling at the bottom (cabinets are still air tight though.) NO grills, though it wouldn't be hard to make some.

$150 cash takes these home. I'll even throw in the stands. If no takers today or tomorrow I'll be taking them to my booth at Gilley's Antiques before the weekend.

***SOLD*** Absolutely stunning Marantz 6300 direct drive turntable! This one has been fully restored:
All pots and microswitches cleaned with deoxit, power supply recapped with Nichicon PW, UKL, and Wima caps, photodarlington in the Auto stop circuit replaced with modern OP535B, coarse adjust and fine adjust pots cleaned with deoxit. Arm set up and Grado XG cart aligned using the rare original Marantz 45 adapter. Has a beautiful green tint acrylic dust cover from Eferon Rodriguez over at Turntable Covers. I will include the original smoked dust cover for free (hazy, but could be restored.) All 4 original feet, frequently missing, are in excellent shape. Comes with original owners manual, warranty card, parts replaced, and dust cover.

I rate this cosmetically pretty much a 9.8-10/10. If you're looking for a collector grade 6300 dont sleep on this one!

***SOLD*** This Absolutely stunning Pioneer PL-560, veneered in hand oiled waterfall matched American Black walnut, complete with brand new stunning green tint dust cover from Eferon Rodriguez and brand new shock absorption printed urethane feet is ***SOLD***

Sitting at the top of Pioneer's consumer line before the Spec series, this Quartz locked direct drive is fully automatic with size selection, strobe, and pitch control with light up meter. All pots and switches cleaned and arm/cart set up with protractor, runs dead nuts on speed. Cartridge is a vintage Audiotechnica HP200mkii with elliptical stylus. Looking for a really fantastic budget table? This Pioneer PL-516 Belt drive automatic return table brings a lot of bang for the buck. Freshly serviced, speed pot and switch cleaned with deoxit, newer belt, new damping fluid in the lift for nice gently lowering of the arm, and an audiotechnica VS200E cartridge with NOS .4x.7 biradial (elliptical) stylus. ***SOLD*** WOW! If you want a big k**b big G series with meters and power, without G8k-9k prices, the G-7000 is where its at! This is a very clean example, a solid 8.5/10 cosmetically. Rated at a whopping 85w RMS/ch, it's a power house full of warn punchy clean early G series Sansui sound.

This one has had the following restoration performed:
-All electrolytics on main board, preamp, and phono stage have been replaced with Nichicon UKL and UPW series.
-Capacitors in signal path were upgraded to WIMA film caps where possible.
-Power supply rebuilt, components removed and cleaned, corrosive glue eradicated from main board, and affected components with corrosion were replaced.
-LED lamps installed in dial
-Amplifier DC offset adjusted to 0v and Bias adjusted
-FM tuner aligned.
-All pots and switches cleaned with Deoxit D5/F5

Okay I don't normally deal with the AV side of vintage audio, but this TOTL legendary Pioneer Elite was too good to pass up. It had an MSRP of over $2500 in 2000, 7.1, the most advanced dolby decoding available then, a huge amp section delivering 120w per channel at very low distortion, a freaking glow-in-the-dark accented *touch screen* remote control that looks straight out of a star wars episode, and gloss rosewood colored side panels. Oh, and the copper chassis doesn't hurt anything either. The DACs were pretty damn good in it too. Yes, the video switching is outdated by today's standards...but if you're putting together a "retro" Y2K transitional era system from analog VHS, early DVD, and physical media giant.. this old girl is a must have.

I tested all audio inputs and outputs including all amplifier channels. The remote works as well.

$799 takes her home to be the centerpiece of your physical media collection! The remote (which brings back somewhat 90's Dolphin car head-unit 🐬 vibes with the lower layout) alone is worth a large chunk of this, as they are seldom seen in the wild.

Huge bang for the buck here! This very rare Kenwood KA-7150 integrated amplifier is the European gunmetal colored face version of the KA-7100. Rated at a solid 60w RMS/ch with its twin banks of filter caps it has plenty of warm & clean punch. If you're looking for that kenwood sound, this is a great amplifier. Freshly serviced, all pots and switches cleaned with deoxit, bias and offset adjusted, and cosmetically clean as a whistle! The metal top has been painted a very nice dark gray hammer tone at some point. The only cosmetic flaw I can find is the power switch lever cap is non original (Pioneer) likely replaced when the original was lost at some point. I'd rate it a solid 9/10 cosmetically. A great peice for $549 with a 6/mo warranty.
