Mark your calendars and get ready for 2025's electronic recycling event at the Chaffee County Fairgrounds on Saturday, May 17th from 9am-1pm! ♻
We advise our clients each year to prepare to recycle their devices a couple months in advance. We've heard too many times from clients who remembered too late that they hadn't finished moving their files off of that old laptop 💻 in storage, or that they hadn't wiped their old phone 📱 or tablet in the drawer, were unsure how, and decided to wait another year to recycle them.
Now is also a good time to double-check that your old devices awaiting recycling haven't developed swollen batteries 🔋- a potential fire hazard. If you discover any, let us know. We'll guide you through what to do. If you're not sure, we can help you check.
Finally, if you think your old device might still have some life left, visit the Personal -> Device Donation page on our website to let us know. If so, we'll refurbish it free of charge and donate it to a Chaffee organization that works with in-need individuals.
