If Tech360 graduate Augusta Johnson could give one piece of advice to someone thinking about joining the program, it would be simple:
"Go for it! You don't have to know everything before you start. Bring your curiosity, your willingness to learn, and your life experiences. Technology needs people with different backgrounds and perspectives."
Today, Augusta is a Data Center Technician and has supported technology initiatives in healthcare, including an Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) implementation at one of Kaleida Health's hospitals.
Working in a sterile surgical environment, she performed technical testing on computer workstations to ensure healthcare professionals could access the systems they rely on to provide safe patient care.
Her experience is a powerful reminder that technology isn't just about computers, it's about supporting the people who depend on them every day.
When asked what she would tell herself on the very first day of Tech360, Augusta shared:
"You've got this. Don't compare yourself to anyone else. Ask questions, stay curious, and trust the process. The skills you're building today will open doors you can't even imagine yet. Your background isn't a limitation—it's part of what will make you successful."
Whether you're changing careers, learning something new, or taking your first step into technology, every journey starts with believing it's possible. Tech360 can help you take that first step. Learn more today, https://www.missionignite.org/tech-360
