Abigail Josey-Rangel and Elias Rangel are neurodivergent individuals supporting themselves by offering services focused around their special interests. These services support a family of two dogs, five rats, and a Juliana pig named Baby. Elias is currently pursuing a computer science degree at Regis University. Abigail recently obtained a B.A. in English with a minor in Psychology from UTA and is looking forward to finding an appropriate graduate program.

Elias was homeschooled until he started college at sixteen, which gave him time to pursue extracurricular activities. For example, he led a 50 mile canoe trip for the Scouting organization for several years. This included preparing equipment and food, maintaining safety protocols, and arranging the logistics. Experience being a leader in the Scouting organization and having the responsibility of multiple people gave him invaluable skills in the management and growth of his new business. It has also given him the experience to remain organized, professional, and efficient at the services he offers. When he’s not spending time outside, you can find him independently studying programming and web development.

Abigail Josey-Rangel also started college at sixteen, where she originally planned to major in neuroscience, then psychology, before finally realizing her love of academic writing and switching to an English major with a Psychology minor. She spent approximately four years working for QuikTrip and about a year of that time also working as a peer-tutor at Tarrant County College. Most of her accomplishments have been academic, such as continuously remaining on the Dean’s List at TCC, UTEP, and UTA, winning TCC’s 2018 academic award in the humanities’ division, and graduating Summa Cum Laude in 2022. Currently, she is looking to obtain professional experience before moving on to graduate school with the plan to study library and information sciences.
