Big news here at Postal Connections, as well as other independently owned businesses such as mine, The UPS Store monopoly on Amazon returns is finally coming to an end. Beginning at the end of August 2026 or the beginning of September 2026, we will finally have been granted authorization to scan those return QR codes. Which means we will be able to assist you with UPS/Amazon, USPS and Happy Returns QR codes. There was a catch, however. We were also able to assist you with FedEx Easy Return QR codes, until July 2, 2026, when that portion of the software suddenly and without notice became disabled; this past Friday, we finally got the reason. Over the course of the negotiations (it's been years in the making, as the exclusive contract between Amazon and The UPS Store expired back in 2022), UPS thought it not good business for us to make money from both FedEx and UPS (USPS is fine because we make $0 from them, as well as Happy Returns, since UPS owns that company now), they finally granted us the ability to assist you with Amazon/UPS, with the stipulation that we no longer assist you with FedEx Easy Returns.
So, in short: As of July 2, 2026, we offer QR code assistance for USPS and Happy Returns, but no longer FedEx Easy Returns. Starting August/September 2026, we will finally be able to accept the Amazon/UPS QR codes!
