Every spring, people across Vermont begin cleaning out closets, garages, basements, offices, and junk drawers. During that process, many old electronic devices are discovered sitting unused for years — outdated laptops, broken phones, tangled chargers, dusty desktop computers, old gaming consoles, tablets with cracked screens, and boxes full of mystery cables nobody remembers buying.
At Wires Computing, we want to help give those electronics a second life instead of seeing them thrown away.
Why Old Electronics Matter
Most people are surprised to learn how many devices still have value, even if they no longer work properly. A laptop that will not power on may still contain reusable components. An old desktop computer may be repairable. Broken phones can often provide parts for other repairs. Even cables, adapters, and accessories can sometimes be reused or responsibly recycled.
