The focus for storm development over the next couple hours will be towards the cold front near the Nebraska border. As the evening progresses, scattered storms should progress southeast across the area. Not everyone will see a storm, but a few of the storms that do develop will likely be severe, so stay tuned to the weather this evening.

Severe Storm Outlook Through 9 PM: Scattered thunderstorms are developing across Saline, Ellsworth, and Barton counties. These storms will drift to the east through 9 PM. The strongest storms may produce wind gusts up to 70 mph, large hail around 2 inches in diameter, and a tornado or two.
