IT Systems & Network Technician
Company: Medium-sized MSP serving diverse businesses across Michigan.
Role Overview: Seeking a motivated, adaptable IT Systems & Network Technician to join our fast-paced MSP team. This role combines Tier 1/2 systems support with hands-on networking expertise to keep client environments stable, secure, and well-documented.
Key Responsibilities
Network Management: Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot firewalls, switches, WAPs, VLANs, routing, and VPNs. Monitor network health and security.
Systems Support: Provide remote and on-site support for workstations, servers, and cloud environments (M365/Google Workspace). Act as an escalation point for complex issues.
Identity & Security: Manage access controls, including MFA, SSO, and user permissions.
Ticketing & Documentation: Maintain accurate ticketing queues, time tracking, network diagrams, and client documentation.
Qualifications & Skills
Networking & Security: Strong grasp of OSI, TCP/IP, subnetting, and VLANs. Experience with WatchGuard or Cisco Meraki is highly preferred.
Identity Management: Familiarity with access tools like Cisco Duo and Azure AD/Entra ID.
OS & Infrastructure: Proficiency in Windows 10/11, Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
MSP Toolkit: Prior experience with RMM and PSA tools.
Soft Skills: Excellent communication, multitasking abilities, and a strong customer-service mindset.
