Educational Biometric Technology Improve student safety and security with just a touch of a finger! The system enrolls fingers and associates them to the student’s record.

How Does It Work- Our system is designed to be an accessory to any Windows-based product that prompts for an ID number, name or password. The software takes a series of measurements for each finger and develops a unique identity matrix for each student. The BioConnect™ software uses a vector analysis measurement process that takes various quantities of measurements per finger. This data cannot be

used by other parties for ID purposes thus avoiding sensitive privacy issues. The system does not need to store the fingerprint image. Once the student is enrolled and the system is in ID mode each student can be identified in less than 2 seconds

The Technology- Biometrics are automated methods of recognizing a person based on a physiological or behavioral characteristic. Among the features measured are; facial image, fingerprints, hand geometry, iris, retinas, vein, and voice. Biometric technologies are becoming the foundation of an extensive array of highly secure identification and personal verification solutions. As the level of security breaches and transaction fraud increases, the need for highly secure identification and personal verification technologies is becoming apparent. Universal Finger Identification System Advantages- UFIS offers a more cost effective, efficient and secure method to identify students on and about the campus. (There is no start-up/ongoing supply cost in maintaining a barcode/card or like type system.) With UFIS, a student’s ID is always available and cannot be misplaced, lost, stolen or exchanged or a number ID forgotten. All of these problems result in delays and taking valuable time to resolve. The UFIS finger scanner hardware and BioConnect software offers a seamless interface to a variety of applications. EBT offers a license for stand-alone applications or a network license for running multiple applications on a school or district server.
