Harvard College Esports Association The Harvard College eSports Association is a student-run organization at Harvard College. We provide community and competition for Harvard gamers.

We want to create an environment for gamers on campus to be able to get together and play together in a centralized way. This includes having LAN parties, viewing events, and overall, a place for people to meet others who share similar interests and passions in gaming. We also want to gather these players together to compete in intra- and inter-collegiate tournaments such as the Collegiate Star Le

ague (CSL) and the AVGL (American Video Game League). Lastly, we want to promote and raise awareness of the growing eSports phenomenon by inviting professional gamers and industry leaders to come to our campus and talk about what it's like to be a part of the eSports industry and how their career choice has affected their lives. We have had people like these come give a talk on things varying from game design to what it's like to work for a major gaming company, internship opportunities, and first-hand professional gaming experience. We want people to realize the legitimacy of competitive gaming, its place in our culture, and the eSports scene's approachability and viability as a career option. Hey everyone! Joe Blatt, a Senior Lecturer in Education at the
Harvard Graduate School of Education, is seeking our help in putting on the video games fair for his course on Growing Up in a Media World. Members from our group have contributed the past two years; all you need to do is commitment just 2.5 hours on Tuesday afternoon (October 17th) - from 1:30 pm to 4 pm. You'd be meeting his class briefly, demonstrating a popular game of your choice (preferably a top-selling game/multiplayer online games game) and then taking part in an informal panel. It's a great experience and a great way to showcase your interests to others! Hey everyone! We're holding another LAN event this Saturday from 7pm to 2am at SOCH Community Hall. Our ❄️️ Winter WonderLAN ❄️️ will be a shower of great games, food, prizes, and company.

We'll have stations set up for Super Smash Bros. Melee, Smash 4, League of Legends, Dota 2, and Hearthstone, but all attendees are more than welcome to play other games as well! Bring your computers and/or controllers! There's not even a ☃️ snowball's chance ☃️ that you won't enjoy this event!

We will be starting the brackets around 7:30. They are free to enter with 1st prize being $30, 2nd being $15 and 3rd being $5. Both will be streamed on separate channels on AfreecaTV!
