But in Ayana Gray 's I, Medusa, she’s reimagined as a young woman finding her place through betrayal, power, and identity. She ultimately becomes something far more complex than the “monster” she was labeled as.

I like to think of this as Medusa's Rebrand. She is still Medusa, but you see her through a different lens.

Businesses love to post rainbows in June and pretty statements about “supporting the community.” But if the convo stops there, that is not genuine allyship.

If your company says it supports LGBTQ+ people, women, marginalized communities, or social equity, that support should show up all year in who you hire, promote, partner with, and where your money goes.

In our current political climate, people are paying attention and can tell the difference.

The dispute between Patagonia and Pattie Gonia ( ) is a *s t r e s s f u l* reminder your brand name and design are legal.

We have seen lots of small businesses building “brands” by picking a name, making a logo on Canva, and launching without checking what already exists. And we get it, it is expensive to hire professionals for this. But unfortunately, that’s how you end up with trademark issues and lot's of wasted money.

If you’re building a real business that you hope to see grow, don't DIY it. Rely on professional branding, identity strategy, and trademark review from the get go!!

It is horrible to see going up against a corporate giant like , but it also highlights how powerful, creative, and impactful her work has been in building such a strong and recognizable voice.

People want to hear your opinions. You probably know your market best (esp as a small biz owner!) and have an infinite amount of knowledge about your industry. Use it! Your audience, customers, clients, and community trust you more than a random conglomerate online.

Today we want to highlight an org that is doing amazing things for our community: CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of New Hampshire is a nonprofit that recruits, trains, and supports community volunteers to serve as advocates for children throughout the state who have experienced abuse or neglect.

Our very own Logan Snyder has been an advocate at CASA for years and has loved being a part of their mission. You too can volunteer and become an advocate by going to casanh.org. Cannot volunteer? You can also make a donation towards recruiting additional advocates to reach more children.
