Leadership Cape spent the day learning what it takes to keep Cape connected, informed, and moving! 🎙️📺📡
This Communicating in Cape session gave participants a behind the scenes look at local media, marketing, crisis communication, broadcasting, radio, and storytelling across our community.
They kicked things off at the Rust Center for Media with conversations on print, digital, event marketing, AI, rustmedia, Scout Hall, and what makes something newsworthy. From there, the group heard from Cape Public Schools on crisis communication, explored media education and local radio with SEMO’s Department of Mass Media and KRCU, talked personal branding at Creative Edge, stepped behind the mic at River Radio, toured KFVS during Heartland Afternoon, and wrapped up at the Chamber with KBSI for a conversation on broadcast news, advertising, and business growth.
Thank you to everyone who opened their doors and shared their expertise throughout the day, and thank you to our program sponsors, West Park Mall and Southern Bank, for helping make this session possible.
