100 years later, Carmel finally gets addresses.

In a world where AI can generate just about anything, I decided to do something radical for this Hardware Concepts ad: I picked up a camera and actually photographed it.

Real light. Real materials. Real shadows. No prompt required.

Hardware Concepts supplies high-quality architectural hardware and house numbers, and the idea was simple: if your address is finally going to count, it might as well look good.

A little old-school craftsmanship for a town that has always done things its own way.

I’m excited to share a new collaboration between Casella Creative and California Crafted, my brother’s ceramics company.

We’re creating a collection of handmade ceramic cups inspired by the simplicity of a stemless wine glass, with unique shapes and glazes that make every piece a little different.

As a designer, I love making things. My brother has been doing the same thing with clay, building California Crafted around really good materials, craftsmanship, and beautiful work.

Getting to combine those two worlds, and do it with my brother, makes this one especially fun.

We’re working on the collection now and will be making them available online, with shipping planned for the holidays.

Since then I’ve worked with incredible companies, launched my own brand, and partnered with clients who’ve trusted me for more than a decade. The tools have changed, but the reason I do this hasn’t.
