We’ve been waiting to share this one — the 2026 IBA Spectrum Awards finalists are officially here!

More than 350 entries came in from radio and television stations across Indiana, and after judging was completed, we finally have the list of broadcasters who will be competing for a Spectrum Award this fall.

And this year, we’re celebrating with a little extra American spirit. In honor of America’s 250th anniversary, the Spectrum Awards are going red, white and blue — complete with our new Signal of Freedom Award and special glass trophies created for its Radio and Television winners.

But before we reveal any winners, we need some finalists!

Congratulations to everyone who made the cut. Take a look at the full list and start making plans to join us October 27!

After 350+ entries, plenty of judging and tough decisions, we have our 2026 Spectrum Awards winners!

Now it’s time to head home to the Hoosier State—but the suspense isn’t over yet. We’ll be announcing the 2026 Spectrum Awards finalists on September 2!

I’m here for the 2026 Spectrum Awards judging, where we have the “small” task of reviewing 350+ entries.

There’s a ton of creativity, talent, great work—and an equally impressive amount of caffeine—in the judging room.

We’re judging, debating, scoring, re-scoring, and occasionally wondering, “Can’t they all just win?”
By tomorrow, we’ll know who the 2026 Spectrum Awards finalists and winners are. Until then… back to the entries!

Thank you to FCC Chair Brendan Carr and the Federal Communications Commission for taking action to eliminate the outdated national TV ownership cap. Modernizing these rules will help local broadcasters compete in today’s rapidly evolving media landscape while keeping their focus where it belongs—on the communities they serve.

Strong local broadcasting means continued investment in trusted journalism, essential information, and programming that keeps communities informed and connected.

The FCC’s vote tomorrow could mark a turning point in the effort to modernize outdated media ownership regulations. That progress would not have been possible without Senator Todd Young, whose support of the March 2025 Media Ownership letter helped bring this issue before the Commission. We’re grateful to Senator Young and Chairman Brendan Carr for helping move this effort forward.

Tomorrow’s FCC vote on Media Ownership marks an important moment for the future of local broadcasting—and we would not have reached this point without Congressman Rudy Yakym's support. His decision to sign the March 2025 Media Ownership letter helped bring this issue before the FCC. We are deeply grateful to Representative Yakym and Chairman Brendan Carr for their leadership in making tomorrow’s vote possible.
