Sincere thanks to everyone who stopped in for last night’s Second Friday event! Whether you purchased something or just enjoyed browsing, your patronage and support are deeply appreciated! Special thanks, too, to my sister, Marsha, for giving me a hand and making sure I didn’t further injure myself!

That said, I may have overdone things last night and am paying for it today: I’ll be opening a little late, from 1 PM to 6 PM, so plan to stop by to pick up those last-minute cards and gifts for your favorite moms!

I’ve always thought this was the perfect card for someone like me.

I hate when I’m right.

You might have noticed the note on our door but if not, we are closed with very irregular open hours because I tripped over a gate (one I’ve stepped over hundreds of times) and fractured my knee into several pieces. Just had surgery, and can neither bend the leg while it heals nor drive. Needless to say, all of my plans for spring and summer are shot. I hate having to close the store at all but especially with Mother’s Day approaching. Call before venturing in. Hopefully, I’ll see you soon (but please don’t expect me to move too quickly…I’m pretty good with crutches but there are limits 😉).

Hey folks, we are closed this week while I’m at home trying to pack up the place I’ve called home for nearly 40 years and move into a smaller townhouse. Trying to do this surrounded by 18 inches of snow and subzero temperatures is going to be very interesting.

However, even though we’re closed, you can help support your local neighbors in need by purchasing tickets for a Valentine’s Day raffle sponsored by Mt. Lebanon Mutual Aid. This far reaching group of volunteers has helped feed, clothe , and house those in need.

A VALENTINE’S DAY GIVEAWAY (4 of them!)

Mt. Lebanon Mutual Aid is raising funds to support several local families facing emergencies, from eviction to utility shut-off to food insecurity. Every $10 sent will enter your name in our Valentine’s Day giveaway, for one of four themed baskets. Basket details below, and a few photos of items (click to expand them)!

Donations must be received by 6:00 p.m. EST on 2/10/26 to be entered. Baskets must be picked up in Mt. Lebanon between 2/11/26-2/14/26. Baskets will not be shipped.
