A battle between Java and Kotlin when choosing for a language for Android development is known to everyone. Although Kotlin’s patronage is growing, Java’s superiority as the de-facto Android app-building language remains.

It is much similar to the dilemma between Obj-C and Swift.

Kotlin was intended to overcome the inherent shortcomings of its Android programming predecessor - Java; while Swift was developed with a similar intent with respect to its MacOS and iOS-coding predecessor Obj-C. To settle the dispute and dilemma between choosing Java and/or Kotlin one must compare their merits and demerits on the same grounds in great detail, as we have done in our blog post.
