On June 25th, 2026, Governor Cox issued an executive order regarding the discharge of fireworks in the State of Utah. Please find all pertinent information regarding the discharge of fireworks within the City limits. While use of private fireworks is discouraged, Enoch City will allow fireworks to be discharged only at the following location and as depicted on the map within the outlined area: 900 E Midvalley Road (Enoch City Offices).
Hours are from 11:00AM to 11:00PM
- Independence Day: July 2nd - July 5th (Hours are extended to midnight
July 4th)
- Pioneer Day: July 22nd - July 25th (Hours are extended to midnight July
24th)
In the event ANY of the following occur, all fireworks activities will be discontinued immediately.
- Red Flag Weather Warning.
- Winds that exceed 10 mph.
- A fire starts during fireworks activities.
Fireworks are defined by Utah State Code 53-7-202:
-"Display fireworks" means large firework devices that consist of explosive materials that are intended for use in outdoor aerial fireworks displays to produce visible or audible effects by combustion, deflagration, or detonation.
-"Display fireworks" includes aerial shells, salutes, roman candles, flash shells, comets, mines, and other similar explosives.
Any fireworks activities outside of the designated area will be addressed immediately. In the event that the public does not cooperate with the above direction, all fireworks activities will be ceased immediately.
We are experiencing an aggressive fire season in the State of Utah and while it may be assumed that because of our location and terrain we are not at risk for an incident associated with wildfire, that is not the case. The Cedar City Fire Department is committed to providing the community with the best possible protection from a brushfire. Please help us in this effort by working with us to protect our community.
