Today is the day! The Sheep Parade!!! You will see us driving around telling you to stay back for your safety, and directing traffic to allow the sheep to get to where they need to be. Please watch for an heed the instructions of our members. We will get you back to your normal activities as soon as possible, we are just trying to keep everyone safe. See you soon!

Today is the day for the Sheep Parade! Streets will begin to close at 9:00 a.m. and the parade will begin at 10:00 a.m. along Main Street.

Approximately 1,000 head of sheep will be herded from Cedar Mountain pastures down Cedar City's Main Street. Be sure to check out the many events taking place including, horse pulls, wagons, antique tractors, bag pipe bands, youth groups, stock dogs and vendors!

For everyone’s safety, please leave your dogs at home and keep to the edge of the street as the sheep pass by. Do not get in front of the sheep!

There is a fire on Kanarraville Mountian and Shurtz Canyon area. There is fire crews at the site of the fire and it is being monitored & controlled.

Attention all Parowan and Paragonah citizens, there is a power outage due to high wind conditions. Rocky Mountain Power has service units in the area. It is unknown exactly at this time when the winds will die down. Per the National Weather Service website there is a high wind warning until 9pm. Attached below is a link to their website.

When planning a trip to Brian Head make sure that you are prepared. You will need a vehicle that has 4WD, AWD, or at the very least snow chains. We are still receiving snow on the mountain almost daily and even when it is not snowing the wind blows and can cause the snow to drift onto the road. This causes the roads to be slick and difficult to navigate if you are not equipped with 4WD.❄️❄️❄️
