We love a website where the work speaks for itself—and the new Adroit Studios website has plenty to say. 🎮✨

We recently teamed up with Adroit Studios to give their website a revamp, creating a place where their game-based learning projects can take center stage.

One of our favorite spots? The Our Games page, where you can explore the educational games and interactive experiences Adroit has been developing.

We also made it easier for visitors to figure out how to get involved, whether they want to attend Game Jam, learn about internships, or team up with Adroit Studios on a project.

🎮 Check it out: https://adroit.missouri.edu/

We're proud to have helped create a site that makes it easier to discover what happens when education and game development come together.

Your services page is a sales page.

Not a placeholder.
Not a formality.
Not just a list of everything you do.

A SALES PAGE. 👏

By the time someone lands on your services page, they’ve probably already done a lot of research. They’re deciding whether you understand what they need, whether they can trust you, and whether they want to take the next step.

So your services page needs to do more than say, “Here’s what we offer. Call us.”

It should answer questions, build trust, explain what people are actually getting, address common objections, and make it easy to take the next step.

And yes, it should sound and look like YOU. (Please don't let AI turn your website into corporate word soup. 😂)

We break down exactly what belongs on your services pages in our latest episode of Marketing with Purpose.

A longtime listener asked us to cover this one, and honestly? We get why.

Because sometimes the hardest part of handling a big idea isn't the idea itself. It's figuring out what’s actually behind it.

Is the board member seeing a problem you aren't seeing?

Do they not know what's already happening?

Are they just looking for a way to contribute?

Or…does their brother-in-law happen to own a print shop? 👀

Before you say yes or no, get curious.

Ask: “That's an interesting idea—what made you think of it?”

You might learn something you didn't know. Or you might finally understand what Bob is actually trying to accomplish. Either way, you'll have a much better starting point for the conversation.

Monica and Stacy break it all down in the latest episode of Marketing with Purpose mayecreate.com/blog/responding-to-board-members-good-intentions

So, a few days late, but 21 years worth of celebration! 🎉

On August 5, Monica officially celebrated 21 YEARS of leading MayeCreate — which is 21 years of websites, marketing, big ideas, problem-solving, probably way too many tabs open, and making sure MayeCreate stays delightfully MayeCreate. 💻✨

For 21 years, she’s been our fearless leader, idea generator, chief cheerleader, occasional chaos coordinator, and the person who somehow keeps us all moving forward.

And while we may have missed the actual date… we’re not going to let 21 years go by without making a big deal about it.

Happy belated work anniversary, Monica! ❤️

Here’s to 21 years of MayeCreate — and whatever wonderfully weird, creative, and exciting things come next! 🥂🎉

A little Missouri State Fair client-spotting! 🎡🌽🐄

Stacy and Logan had a great time visiting some of our amazing clients at the fair — including Missouri Farmers Care, Missouri Corn , and even a familiar face from right here in Centralia, Angell-Thomas Charolais, with their sale coming up in October!

We love seeing the businesses and organizations we work with out in the community doing what they do best. ❤️

And yes… we’ll always take an excuse to visit the fair! 😉

⛳️ Sun? Shining.
🍃 Breeze? Perfect.
🏌️‍♀️ Golf? Surprisingly good.
🍹 Mojitos? Absolutely.
😄 Smiles? ALL DAY LONG.

We had an absolute blast at the SITE Improvement Association’s 45th Annual Golf Tournament! We seriously lucked out with the weather at Norwood Hills — a beautiful day, a wonderful breeze, and plenty of time to soak up some sunshine.

We served up mojitos, served up smiles, and apparently served up a pretty good time. 😉

Big thanks to the SITE Improvement Association for another fun day out on the course. We’re already calling this one a win! 🏆⛳️

What do you say when a board member or volunteer pitches you an idea you absolutely do not have the bandwidth for?

If your instinct is to panic, say yes just to avoid the awkwardness, or immediately shut it down…pause. 🛑

You don't have to answer on the spot.

Sometimes the best response is simply: “I really appreciate you bringing this up. Let me check where it fits with what we already have in motion and get back to you.”

Taking a moment to listen, understand the “why” behind the idea, and respond thoughtfully can save you from a whole lot of unnecessary stress.

And yes, there’s a framework for this. We call it ASRI.

Every organization has a Bob. He means well, he really does. He cares about the mission, shows up to every meeting, and is FIRED UP about mailing out magnets. Or a magazine ad. Or a whole new initiative nobody asked for.

This episode was a listener request - because apparently everyone has a Bob, and nobody knows quite what to say to him 🙃.

Monica and Stacy walk through how to handle board members, volunteers, and employees with big ideas and bigger enthusiasm, without crushing their spirit or losing your sanity.

Why this conversation feels so much harder than it should
The three reasons you might be struggling to say no with confidence
A simple framework (nicknamed ASRI) for responding without guilt - or a fight

Bob isn't the enemy. He's proof people care about the mission. This episode is about putting that energy somewhere it'll actually do some good.

Every year we pack up the laptops, head to the Lake of the Ozarks, and spend a couple of days doing something that's just as important as building websites...

Building our team.

This year's adventure included a celebration cruise, exploring the Bagnell Dam Strip, volunteering in our community, plenty of laughs, a little lake time, and Stacy absolutely committing to hibachi night. 🔥😂

But some of our favorite moments happened in the conversations.

We talked about what we're most proud of from the past year, celebrated wins (big and small), and spent time talking about the clients we genuinely love working with—and how we can do an even better job showing our appreciation.

It's always amazing what happens when you slow down long enough to connect with the people you work beside every day.

Now...it's back to creating awesome things together. 💙✨
