This one was a little more than just a cracked back 😬

Customer came in with a phone that was actually punctured through the back glass — not just shattered, but straight through the housing. And with that kind of damage, it didn’t stop at the surface…

The impact ended up taking out the Wi-Fi antenna flex inside, which explained the connection issues they were having.

So this turned into a two-part repair:
🔧 Repair/replace the damaged internal antenna
🔧 Full back housing replacement

After getting everything sorted internally, we sealed it back up with a fresh housing — and now it’s back to full strength and working like it should 👍

These are the repairs you don’t always see on the surface… sometimes what looks like “just cosmetic” is actually affecting how the phone functions.

If your phone has taken a hit, even if it still “mostly works,” it’s worth getting it checked out.

📱 iPad 11th Gen Screen Issue — No Crack, Still Broken!

This iPad 11th Generation came in with a clearly damaged display, but here’s the surprising part…

👉 The glass wasn’t cracked at all.

The issue was the LCD panel underneath, which was causing:
• Lines on the screen
• Black spots / ink bleeding
• Distorted or no image

This can happen from drops or pressure where the impact damages the internal display—but leaves the outer glass looking perfectly fine.

💡 Important: Just because your screen isn’t cracked doesn’t mean it isn’t broken!

What causes this?

🔧 iPhone SE (2022) Full Housing Swap & Battery Replacement

This iPhone SE (2022) came into Frey Technology with a severely damaged back housing. Unfortunately, the damage didn’t stop at the glass — the microphones located on the charging port assembly had also stopped working, affecting calls and voice recordings.

To properly fix the phone, we performed a complete housing swap, transferring all of the internal components into a brand-new frame. This restores the structure of the phone and replaces the damaged components tied to the charging port and microphones.

While we already had the device fully disassembled, it made sense to address another issue. The battery health had dropped to 81%, which means it would soon require service anyway. So we installed a brand-new battery to give the phone a fresh start.

✅ New housing
✅ Restored microphones & charging port assembly
✅ New battery installed
✅ Phone looking and working like new again
