VTG is proud to sponsor Paws of Honor’s new Corporate Allies Program, an initiative that brings retired working K-9s into the workplace to connect with teams and share their stories of service.

During our recent Monthly Business Review, we had the privilege of hosting Walter, a retired explosive detection K-9 who served with the National Geospatial Agency, and Hulk, a German Shorthaired Pointer who retired after serving with TSA. Both spent time meeting VTG staff and earned plenty of treats along the way.

As VTG continues to grow and diversify our portfolio, we remain committed to giving back to the communities and missions we support. Supporting programs like this is one way we recognize and honor those who have served, including the K-9s who played a critical role in protecting and supporting our nation.

Paws of Honor is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing veterinary care and support for retired working dogs from government agencies and local law enforcement, ensuring they receive the care they deserve in retirement.

We’re proud to introduce Voices That Grow, a new series highlighting the people and leadership journeys shaping VTG’s culture from within.

First up is Nawar Najm, Director of Accounting Operations, whose leadership story is grounded in trust, collaboration, and purpose. For Nawar, being part of VTG means belonging to a community where respect and teamwork drive everything we do. She feels valued not only for her expertise, but also for her ideas, which fuels both pride and motivation to contribute to shared success.

Through the Leadership Development Program, her perspective on leadership has evolved. She has embraced the importance of asking thoughtful questions, listening intentionally, and adapting along the way.

Nawar’s growth reflects VTG’s commitment to continuous improvement and the trust placed in its people. That support has empowered her to step into a higher-level role and continue progressing along her career path.

One of the most meaningful aspects of her journey has been seeing how deeply leadership invests in employee success through recognition, clear growth opportunities, and ongoing support.

We are grateful to have Nawar as a vital part of the team. Stay tuned as Voices That Grow continues to spotlight the people driving VTG forward.

Long before secure networks and connected battle spaces defined modern warfare, one woman’s innovation helped lay out the groundwork for the technology we rely on today.

During World War II, Hedy Lamarr co-invented frequency-hopping spread spectrum technology to prevent signal interception—an extraordinary breakthrough that would later become foundational to secure military communications and many of today’s wireless systems.

In defense and national security, technology must do more than simply function. It must perform in contested environments, adapt in real time, and protect critical information when it matters most. Innovations like Lamarr’s remind us how visionary thinking can shape the future of national security.

This Women’s History Month, VTG is proud to launch a new series recognizing the women whose ideas, leadership, and innovation have strengthened our nation’s defense and intelligence capabilities. Stay tuned throughout March as we highlight influential women who have helped shape the Intelligence, Sea, and Defense communities.

VTG’s work spans oceans, time zones, and critical operations—but what truly powers our mission is our people.

From engineers and analysts to logisticians and operators, our team brings not only exceptional skill, but also character, resilience, and heart to everything they do. At VTG, we value more than just the work delivered—we value the individuals behind it.

The families who support you, the goals you pursue, and the passions you carry beyond the workplace all matter here. That’s what makes this team so strong: mission-focused and people-centered at the same time.

Today, on Employee Appreciation Day, we celebrate the people behind the mission. Thank you for the dedication, excellence, and commitment you bring to VTG every day.

This year's Black History Month marks a historic milestone—100 years since Carter G. Woodson established the first Black History observance in 1926. A century later, the moment calls for reflection and continued commitment to honoring Black excellence, leadership, and impact.

Throughout February, VTG is recognizing Black leaders who have shaped our nation’s defense, technology, and security communities. We begin with Rear Admiral Anthony “Tony” Watson, a trailblazer in U.S. submarine history and one of the first African American commanding officers of a nuclear submarine, later becoming the first Black submariner promoted to rear admiral.

His career included commanding fast-attack submarines, leading submarine squadrons, and serving at the Pentagon. Throughout his service, he also helped advance inclusion within one of the Navy’s most technically demanding fields. His legacy reminds us that true leadership creates opportunities for others to follow.

As we continue to move into the new year, our focus remains unchanged: delivering mission-ready solutions that strengthen national security and expand America’s competitive advantage in the modern battle space. As the landscape evolves, VTG leads with deep expertise, adaptability, and an unwavering commitment to those we serve.

The calendar may change, but our dedication to the mission remains the same, today and tomorrow.

This Black History Month, we’re honoring a powerful milestone.

For 100 years, Black history has been formally commemorated, preserving stories of resilience, innovation, leadership, and impact that continue to shape our world today.

The 2026 theme, “A Century of Black History Commemorations,” invites us to reflect on the progress made, acknowledge the work that remains, and celebrate the voices that have driven meaningful change across generations.

VTG believes that understanding history strengthens how we lead, collaborate, and grow today and into the future. This month, we’re taking time to recognize the enduring contributions of Black leaders whose influence reaches far beyond February.

Throughout the next few weeks, we’ll be highlighting influential Black leaders whose vision, courage, and leadership helped shape industries, communities, and history itself. From trailblazers who challenged the status quo to pioneers whose impact still resonates today, these stories remind us that progress is built on the shoulders of those who came before us.

We invite our team and community to follow along, listen, learn, and celebrate with us as we honor Black excellence.

Stay tuned for our first spotlight.
