The next evolution in ET Prediction is here with Computech Weather Profiles. We no longer have to treat weather variables like head wind and grains as linear, where 5 mph moves you .01 whether its low speed or high speed, head wind or tail wind.

With Computech's new weather profile we are able to completely customize how a weather variable effects your car throughout the entire range. This means we can also make humidity grain changes effect us more at the high end of the moisture spectrum than at the low.

For junior dragsters, with a linear head wind formula, your predictions could get thrown off if there were big changes like head wind to tail wind. Now with weather profiles, we see a significant difference in accuracy.

This new feature truly is a game changer, and its available to every single RaceBase customer right now. Just open your RaceBase, go to Settings and hit Check For Updates. There you can download the latest version and update.

Congratulations to our very own, Rowan “The Robot” Parlett for taking it down to 3 cars from 560 last night at Bristol Dragways Teel Memorial Race. The Robot was in true form last night averaging teen lights all night. In the bye run to break the beams Rowan was perfect, trip zip and then followed it up with a .004 where he fell short in the semis on a good race.

Attention Computech and Potential Computech Customers at Bristol Dragway, we have a very nice update to help you make the most of your trip to Bristol.

If you are on the mountain or behind the track where your weather station isn't getting good data, you can now connect to a TrackSide RaceAir Cloud to get more accurate wind and weather data. This will require you have a good internet connection at the trailer though.

For customers thinking about purchasing a RaceAir Cloud, this means you can purchase this weekend and you don't have to hassle with setting it up yet as long as you have internet.

We also have now introduced weather profiles. We found that a 2 mph wind change from 0-2 is different than 15-17. And 15-17 mph of head wind is different than 15-17 mph of tail wind. With our new weather profiles we can truly customize the how the weather effects our cars in a non linear way (think of an msd launch re**rd style). In all of our testing, this was significantly better than a standard linear model.

These updates are free of charge and can be done by coming down to the Computech trailer to get upgraded. We are located near the bathrooms on an endcap, the Computech flag should be flying.

Congratulations to our very own Rowan "The Robot" Parlett for his Runner-Up and Win at Maryland International Raceway King of the Creek race! With the Computech R/T Reader we were able to ride a tight line with his lights and he was trip zip dead 8 in the finals for the win.
The Computech RaceBase software had us dialed in all day even as the weather made dramatic swings. The automatic run completition allowed us to stay on top of what he was running and the index program allowed us to easily manipulate the weight to run the same number over and over again.
When you have the right equipment and tools it allows the car to do it's job and puts the race squarely on the drivers shoulders. And that regard Rowan delivered round after round this weekend, Congrats Rowan!

RACEBASE UPDATE ALERT, and its a pretty nice one. You now have the ability to send 2 separate formulas to the starting line via text or paging. This is huge for the junior dragster community as it allows you to now send a wind and non-wind formula and truly know how much the wind is effecting your prediction.
We are always striving to improve and have more to come in the next couple weeks so keep following Computech for more features being released. To update simply open RaceBase, go to Settings and hit Check For Updates. Then download and install the latest version 3.1.0.

On race day, your primary usage with the dash will be swiping between screens and flipping between day and night mode. You can also set the specific brightness for each mode and then whenever you hit the reverse button, you get a crisp clear backup camera image!
