Interesting numbers coming out of the automotive industry as we start September.
Despite high vehicle prices, higher borrowing costs and plenty of economic uncertainty, customers are still buying.
But they’re buying differently.
They’re doing more research, comparing more and becoming much more educated before they ever speak with someone at a dealership. Cox Automotive says 63% of in-market shoppers expect to use AI during their next vehicle purchase.
That should get every dealer’s attention.
I don’t believe that means AI replaces the salesperson or BDC.
I think it means the human conversation matters even more.
