Georgia Louise Harris Brown
She went to Seaman High School and went to Washburn University between 1936 and 1937. In 1938 she moved to Chicago and enrolled in classes at the Armour Institute of Technology, later known as the Illinois Institute of Technology and studied under Mies van der Rohe. From 1940, she attended the University of Kansas and received her architecture degree in 1944, the first black woman do so from the university. She was responsible for structural calculations on the apartments on 860 Lake Shore Drive in Chicago. She worked in Chicago until 1953, when she left for Brazil. One of her reasons for leaving the United States was because "opportunities for advancement were limited by her race" and that in Brazil, there would be fewer racial boundaries to her success. While in Brazil, She was the project manager and designer for a large complex in Osasco and later another owned by Pfizer Pharmaceutical Corporation in Guarulhos. She also designed a Jeep plant in San Bernardo and a shipping facility for Siemens. She also designed an airport for Krupp of Germany.

It was an honor and a pleasure to work with this incredible group of aspiring Black Women entrepreneurs. They had such a positive and uplifting spirit, which elevated the entire group. Jecha Networks stands with Black Lives Matter ! We pay tribute to the Brothers and Sisters on the Front Line, risking their lives to make conditions better for African Americans and all people.
✊🏾
They have galvanized a worldwide movement dedicated to ending systemic racism. All races of people have joined the movement in America and globally from African nations, Europe, Japan, and other places.
🌍
We need serious change now. Redirect money from police departments to community programs, invest in schools, expand healthcare, invest in low-income neighborhoods, end mass incarceration, the list goes on.

Jecha Networks is proud to partner with Natalie Williams and the Women’s Business Center of Charlotte to welcome a new cohort of entrepreneurs and small businesses to the Run, Start & Grow 2 Market (RSG2M) program. The objective of this program is to help entrepreneurs take their idea from a business concept to an actual product or service and test with Beta customers. We will also build a business around their concept.
💎
We had a great kick off session on Wednesday March 4th.
Jecha Networks introduced a 9-step program to define their concepts, identify their target markets, and eventually test their product or service.
💎
I look forward to great things from this group❗️💯 @ Women's Business Center of Charlotte

I have an idea for an app, introduce me to a developer
Hello people, I need to address a common misconception about when you need an App developer. I’ve had calls recently with entrepreneurs that have an idea for an app and want to find an app developer immediately.
♦️It is very important not to do that.
There are a number of critical actions that should be done first, such as Target Market Identification.
💎
Who is interested in the app?
💎
What problems does the app solve?
💎
Don’t assume people will buy it because you think it’s great.
💎
Make sure your potential customers agree that your app solves their problems.
💎
Keep in mind that you’re not just building an app, you’re building a business.
🔵
